A 555 Timer Pins 1 - 8 Question?
Hey guys and gals 
Just a small question on 555 Timers
From pins 1 - 8 what are the pins named and there controls
We have a diagram with a 555 timer on it
pin 1 - 0V <-- I know what this is
Pin 2 - Trigger <-- ?
Pin 3 - output <-- I know this
Pin 4 - Reset <-- ?
Pin 5 - Control <-- ?
Pin 6 - Threshold <-- ?
Pin 7 - Discharge <-- Guessing for Capacitors
Pin 8 - +4.5 to 15V to go on the Voltage Rail
If you could please tell me what the "<-- ?" Are ( what they do in a circuit ) then it would be a great help

We also have to create a Astable multi vibrator i decide on using a Capacitor 2 resistors and a 555 timer, if anyone has a website that could show me a design on how to make a Astable Multivibrator please could you leave them under in sources Thanks
