How good is the Lenovo ThinkPad T61 laptop? How does it compare to similarly priced laptops?

I've used the T61 at work during my internship. It's an extremely durable computer. For work, it's an excellent laptop. The roll-cage design and magnesium alloy used for the case makes the PC extremely durable (and heavy)
I highly recommend the T61 to students or businesspeople or engineers..
If you can, I'd think about downgrading the video card to the Intel X3100 GMA because the Quadro is not very powerful, not nearly enough for gaming anyways and the X3100 handles movies just fine. Saves you some money..
If you want gaming, go for an HP or Toshiba because Lenovo is a business-minded company.
